Don Roberts

President, and Chief Executive Office.

Mr.Roberts has over 47 years of experience in the banking and financial services industries. He began his career in the international operations area of a community bank in Houston, Texas and subsequently transitioned into the commercial banking area. He joined the $2.0 billion Barnett Bank of Jacksonville in 1984 as Executive Vice President and Corporate Banking Manager, responsible for the commercial banking, commercial real estate, loan operations and credit areas. In 1990, he was named the President and CEO of the Barnett Bank of Atlanta. Roberts and his team turned the bank around and it was sold by Barnett in 1993, at which time he returned to Florida as President and CEO of the Barnet Bank of Lake County. Upon the sale of $47 billion Barnett Bank to Bank of America in 1998, Roberts returned to Jacksonville to start-up Florida Bank ofJacksonville, the regional affiliate of Florida Banks. Florida Banks was subsequently sold to Mercantile Bank in 2004 at which time Roberts assisted in the start-up and
capitalization of CNLBank of Jacksonville, the North Florida affiliate of CNL Banks. most Roberts recently served as the North Region President for Seaside National Bank and Trust a $2.5 billion Florida-based community bank.

Roberts graduated from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business. He subsequently received an advanced banking degree from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking in Dallas, Texas.

Roberts is very involved in the Jacksonville community having served on many notable boards including The YMCA of Florida’s First Coast, the United Way of Northeast Florida, the Chamber of Commerce and the Arts Council of Jacksonville. He is also a Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow. Currently, he serves as a Board member of ElderSource, North Florida’s Area Agency on Aging, its Parent Board, and its affiliate Wise Owl Properties. He also currently serves as President of ElderSource Institute, non-profit ‘fee for service’
subsidiary recently started-up by Eldersource. He has been married to the former Katherine Nash for 37 years and they have three grown sons.
